Analyzing An Environmental Portrait

Analyzing Environmental Portraits"
Find 2 different pictures of an environmental portrait that you like and post on your blog. Answer the following questions for EACH example that you find.
Blog: Copy/paste the following questions and answer them.

1. Natural light or flash used? How do you know?
Flash is used, most likely in conjunction with a kind of white screen due to the subtlety of the light.

2. List the photo composition techniques used.
Leading lines are used in this photo. This particular shot also demonstrates good balance of color, as well as negative and positive space.

3. Describe details of the subject. (Clothing, eyes, hair, pose, facial expression)
The subject has an approachable disposition and is dressed "for the office". Her face is arranged calmly, and her hair only reflects the good nature displayed in her face.

4. Describe details of the background environment. (colors, textures, lighting, indoors/outdoors)
The photographer seems to have altered the background to display the complementary colors of blue and orange, which seems to enhance the main subject. With this balance, the eyes are more attracted to the color scheme of the woman in the middle.

5. From these descriptions, write a sentence(s) describing the personality of this subject.

6. How did the combination of pose, expression, background and lighting create your perception of this subject?
