Kings of Leon Come Around Sundown
New album.
Amazing.
Begins and ends beautifully.
I'll elaborate later. Seriously, I listened to this album at least 6 times this weekend, non-stop. (and that's because I controlled myself to the point of my palpable thirst for more.)
Testifying to the terribly beautiful mess that life can be sometimes- to me. photojournalism, opinion, epiphany, dreams, happiness.

The Big Picture
Recently, Boston.com's "The Big Picture" featured a collection of photos to illustrate the events following the rescue of the 33 Chilean miners earlier this week. While each independently their own part of the story, I've picked a few favorites that my eyes had to linger on for a little while longer than the others.

This photo shows a commuter cracking open the newspaper as they wait for their train at an underground station in London, England. A second person, while remaining hidden, can be made out in the background, also reading on Chilean Rescue issue of the London Evening Standard.I love the composition of this photograph, as it uses rule-of-thirds for the placement of it's subject, rather than placing it directly in the middle. A movement of color can also be noted; when you move from left to right, a contrast of color can be noted. It goes from no color (black and white) to a bright red and yellow-white of the train. More importantly, this photo shows the international attention that the rescue received. Hopefully this leads to the implementation of more safety procedures and policies in regards to future mining projects, in any and every part of the world.

This photo is another favorite. ... (I'll finish this later. Off to take some pictures of my own!)
